Dr. Andrea Gatica, DDS
I am excited to call Virginia Beach home after practicing dentistry in Roanoke, Virginia over the past year. I have grown to love everything Virginia has to offer and look forward to serving this wonderful community by helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles.
Before entering private practice, I completed a two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency at the University of Connecticut, where I had the honor of serving as Chief Resident and Cancer Center Liaison. This advanced training provided me with extensive experience in comprehensive dentistry, complex treatment planning, and delivering patient-centered care tailored to each individual’s unique needs.
Originally from Guatemala, I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Universidad Francisco Marroquín, graduating with academic honors. As a bilingual dentist fluent in both English and Spanish, I enjoy connecting with patients from diverse backgrounds and strive to ensure every patient feels comfortable, informed, and confident throughout their dental experience.
I believe that exceptional dental care is built on trust, open communication, and lasting relationships. My goal is to provide personalized treatment that helps each patient maintain a healthy smile for years to come. I am also committed to lifelong learning and regularly participate in continuing education courses to stay current with the latest advancements in dentistry, allowing me to provide the highest quality care possible.
Personal Interests
When I’m not caring for patients, I enjoy traveling, hiking, spending time outdoors, and discovering new places with my family and our two Australian Shepherds.
